A trip to the Rockies

A trip into the Rockies near Colorado Springs/Salida/Buena Vista. First, we head through Wilkerson Pass, then to the historic ghost town of St. Elmo. At St. Elmo, we stumble upon a local music group ("Fiction is Fun") making a music video. An aborted trip to Tincup Pass (snow), then on to Salida. Next morning, a quick stop at Monarch Pass before hiking the Denny Creek Trail back near Buena Vista. Some nice views from near Mt. Yale, but the weather starting turning (you can see that in some shots) so didn't get to the summit this time. Just a little too early in the season, the creeks were roaring and I actually got snowed on climbing Mt. Yale. Then, it is off to the gambling mecca of Cripple Creek on the way home. This is not meant to be exciting, or thrilling, or musical. There is no background music. It is just me, my camera, and whatever I see. Pretty pictures, if you like that sort of thing, and a chance to see what I saw without the endless driving, hiking and hunger pangs.
